Raspberry Chameleon in Pocket Size

This isn't a new video.  I posted it last July on YouTube when I first received this Filofax.  I'm just posting it on my blog so that it's here.  I'm still using this as my wallet and it's working out very well.

Filofax Photo a Day Challenge

I got this from Car's Blog (the originator) and thought it would be fun to do.  Starting January 1st 2013.  I posted it on my blog so that I could have easy access and to spread the news.  Go to the link and find out the details.

Change Of Mind!

I couldn't resist the 50% sale.  I ordered a Chocolate Aston in A5!  Looking forward to its arrival.  I ordered it from Filofax, so I know I'll get it soon.  I think I'll use it as my main organizer, (*stay at home).  We'll see.  I'll be looking around to see how others are using it.

UPDATE:  I received the Aston soon after ordering it.  I'm very happy with it.  I'm waiting for something I ordered to put in it.  I'll show you when I get it set up.

2013 New Year with My A5 Stay at Home Planner

I'm excited to start the new year with my A5 Chameleon.  I've owned it since the summer and had set it up (see earlier post), but to my chagrin, I never really felt at home with it.  I am planning on revamping it a bit so that I can depend on it on a daily basis.  Some of the ideas swimming around my head that I want to include in it are as follows:  (this is me thinking out loud)

 1.  My New Year's Resolutions
 2.  Classes I've taken and their particulars
 3.  Reading list
 4.  Supper Menus and shopping list
 5.  Quotes and things I want to remember
 6.  House cleaning schedule
 7.  Short term and long term goals
 8.  Week at a glance with Notes calendar
 9.  Jan - Dec, monthly to do section
10. Christmas Card List

Mainly, I want to focus on the Supper Menus and the to do sections most of all.  I feel that I would be using those sections daily.   The other sections would be used more on an irregular basis, but still are important to me.
Here are my Domini Mini that I use for TV notes, my red personal Cuban that I'm using for my prayer journal and study notes and then my A5 Chameleon that I'm hoping to get used to using everyday in the new year.

My Domino Ultra Violet Mini Filofax

I love the color, it's very purple-ly.  The size is very convenient for just jotting down ideas or thoughts that hit me at any given moment, or for jotting down notes or things I want to remember when the moment presents itself.  I keep it next to where I see when I'm relaxing on my laptop or watching the television.
I made the dividers from scrapbook paper, you can see the different sections I labeled pretty clearly.
I have the month on two pages in here just so that I can get a quick view of the date.  I found the mini pen in a small journal that I had been given as a gift.
I like having this handy next to me so that I can keep a reminder on different things that I might see or hear.

A Beautiful Match!

I found these beautiful sticky notes at Barnes & Noble book store.  I thought they'd match my Acqua Chameleon A5 beautifully!
Lots of sizes!
The product information if you're interested.
My Acqua A5.  It's true love!

How Do You Use Your Flex from Filofax

I love the color and the feel of this First Edition Slim Magenta Flex. It's in the personal size.

What do you keep inside your Flex?
So far all I've used this Flex for is for making notes and lists.
I would love to find out how you've been using yours, if you have one.
I've also written grocery lists and things to remember to do in it as well.
I've kept it in my purse for a time and now it sits on my end table in my living room.  Where do you keep yours?  And what kinds of things to write in it?
I would love to hear your ideas on how you use your Flex!

I Love My Raspberry Chameleon Pocket FF As My Wallet

I've been using my Raspberry Chameleon Pocket Filofax as my wallet for a few weeks now and it's been working really well. So technically, I always have two FF's with me at all times, and sometimes three.   My Personal Ochre and my Personal Vintage Pink Maldens are usually with me or close by at all times.  I keep this one in my purse, obviously, because it's my wallet  The pen is special to me, it was gifted by a friend for my birthday, and isn't it sweet that it matches so beautifully!

I love that this part of the pocket opens up, a nice place for cash or important receipts and such.
This front section holds some credit cards and my driver's license and opposite some jot pads for quick lists, measurements  or things to remember to buy.  Then I have two business card holders for more credit cards, library card, shopping club card, and gift cards.  It's nice having a place for all of that and it's easy to spot when I need them.
Some jot pad notes that I keep with me, next time I'm at the post office I know what stamps I need to buy and there are measurements of some windows that I want to re-drape.  Love that those things are with me.
My sections contain ruled paper and I use them to keep master lists of what I buy at certain stores.  That way if I'm going I can look at the lists and see if I'm forgetting something.  I mostly buy the same things over and over again.  I know what we like so that makes it easy.  I love having a master list.
At the back I have a clear envelope for stashing receipts or notes or lists.
Then comes the change pocket on the back.  I try to use my change whenever I can because it makes the FF somewhat bulky if I don't.
Well there it is, using this pocket Chameleon this way has been very beneficial to my needs.  Hope you liked this post!

Watch the video below that inspired me to want to get the Pocket Chameleon!  Thanks again judithenbart

Guess What I Got Today, Finally!!!

My Holborn Zip!  I won it with free shipping but decided to pay extra and have it shipped faster.  Well that "faster" turned out to be alot slower!   Let's see, I ordered it on August 13th from Ebay.com.  Then It was shipped to the wrong person.  I got hers and she got mine.  Then the company thought it was best for each of us to just mail the switched FF back to each other.  Which in theory makes sense, but waiting on others can always be a test in patience.  The company that we bought these from offered free inserts to cover the extra postage and the hassle of dealing with this complication.  In hind sight, I wish I would've just asked them to send me another one overnight, and then have us send them back the wrong ones.  Oh well.  I'm alot wiser now.

My Red Personal Cuban as My Prayer Journal

Because of the very nature of a Prayer Journal, I don't feel comfortable showing everyone what I've been writing in it, so I'll just tell you whats going on in this FF.  I started using my Personal Cuban a few weeks ago as my prayer journal.  I try to study my Bible everyday and when I come across a scripture that I feel is pertinent to someone I know and/or love, I put it in my prayer journal, under the corresponding section, for the corresponding loved one.  I also have the week on two pages in this FF.  I use that for writing in anything that stands out or that I learn that day from reading the scriptures and other devotionals.  A verse, or a quote or thought that I want to remember.  Something that means something special to me that day.  I love using this FF for this topic.  When I pray, I just go through the sections and then I'm done.  It helps me to remember people, things and the like that I ordinarily might've forgotten to pray for.  I feel that using this FF this way has brought my prayer life up a notch and I feel at peace knowing that my loved ones are "covered"!
The ball point pen is from Vera Bradley.com and I just used ruled paper in all my sections.  My son serves in our military so I included the "Soldier's Prayer" in the front.

Just Fyi I'm Still Waiting For My Holborn to Come

OK - I Am a Filo-Freak, But I'm Also Organizer Crazy

I was doing some shopping at Walgreens.  I usually go there once a week to see what I can get really cheap.  I match sales with coupons, sometimes I can get things for free.  Anyway, I was picking up some 2 packs of erasers for .29 cents, when my eyes fell upon this Franklin Covey Organizer for $16.99.    It was an A5 size, so I was thinking that I could use the papers inside for my Filofax.  I love when each month has a month at a glance and then a breakdown of the weeks, WOTP.  None of these papers are dated, so I can start and use them anytime.  When I bought it I also had two $4 off coupons, so I got it for under $10.  I really feel like I scored.  Now, as I'm looking at the cover, it's beginning to grow on me.  It's not leather, but it feels very supple.  Here it is pictured:

I'm not crossing over, I'm just taking advantage of a bargain that might suit my needs.
